just put motor in frame when i hooked up clutch cable i have to max out the adjusters to get the correct free play at the lever there is no more adjustment left, HELP!!! thanks, craig

The first thing I'd check is that you have the correct cable, if the inner wire is to long then thats your problem.
Start with the easiest things first before stripping motor etc.

Did you line up your throw-out plate properly? There are 2 cut away spots near the adjuster that allow for the bent tab of the retainer washer to recess into them...

If you did not line this up your clutch cable will not only be out of whack, but your clutch will not engage....
