I was wondering if a pair of 1983 xt200 rear shocks which are 17.5" eye to eye would work on my old 78 cr250?

I have the 78 shocks on my 76 mt250 but it did take a grinder. The shock mount was a tad more narrow but they were made to go on and work. You can probably use them but it may take a bit of work but thats half the fun.
