Vintage Dirt Bike Q & A

Anybody know of a fork spring supplier for 78/79 CR250. RaceTech doesn't seem to go that far back. The stock springs are sacked out and I want to ride the darn thing before I get my 83 CR250 forks set up.

Can I go straight to Eibach?

Did you ask Race Tech directly if they would grind a spring for you or whether they might have a spring that matches? I would rather go to a suspension set-up shop than direct to the manufacturer. Eibach will need know the specific length and spring rate and then they might find something that happens to fit. Let me know if you want to try someone like Duane Jones and I will get you his number. He sets up lots of the vintage bikes out here. I would be surprised if he could not find or make a spring.
