I have been building up an MT250 engine and so far have fitted all new bearings and seals but the one part I cant seem to find is the conrod kit. i see they are the same as the 73/74 CR250 and also no one does a kit for that bike either... hmm... anyone got any ideas? I see the bottom bearings is available and pins are out there if youre lucky, but no conrod...

They are on ebay from time to time but are not easy to find. I rebuilt my mt250 with a kit from www.badbrush.com it makes the rod about 2mm longer and you have to use a spacer but it works fine for me although I had my cylinder ported afterwards to match the crank length to the port timming.

Thanks mate, I'll keep a search on ebay and see what turns up.

I assume the longer rod is a the later CR version and seems pretty easy to find on ebay and other suppliers?

Interested in your port specs if you have and are ok to share them, just in case i have to go that route. Cheers.
