Post subject:  MT 250 carb

Picked up a 73' MT 250 the other day. Complete minus the side cover, tach, speedo and rear light.

Went to clean out the carb and found that the carb body tabs which hold the float are broken off.

Does anyone have a carb body or complete carb for sale.

What other Honda bikes carry the same carb or what would be a good easy to find replacement.

If you have the other missing parts I would be interested in those also.

Thanks for the help.

The early CR125M, MR175, MT250, and FL250 all used nearly-identical 28mm carbs. Is your carb an 004A or 060A (number stamped on body behind choke lever)? There's a NOS 004A body on eBay right now, but the 060A body uses currently-available N424-24 pilot jets without float-bowl modification (the mod is easy to do).

I don't think you'll have too much trouble finding the tach and speedo, but the side cover may be a problem, and there are two different taillight assemblies (3-bolt and 4-bolt).
