I know it says DG but that looks more like an FMF Radial/Porcupine head to me. Sorry don't know what bike it fits, you can checkout a test on CR125M heads here http://www.vintagefactory.com/New%20Index.htm |

I was researching heads a while back for my in-process dg racer rebuild. Yours in a super early, super scarce DG head. Those were stupidly expensive to build requiring multiple casts for the miriad of angles involved. They made very few before moving to the more plain cast model, then ultimately to the efficient to make extruded heads that we see so many of. Facts get fuzzy anymore after too long, so I can't swear that all those details are precisely correct, but mostly they are. It isn't quite a normal choice for a DG racer, nor would it be proper for somebody building an FMF bike. It is pretty cool though, and for a small number of guys it would be just the thing they were looking for. Small number of buyers and even smaller number of those heads means it will probably fetch quite a price if you are patient. It looks like it should bolt right up to an 74 through the next few years of bikes, really period correct for the 74/75. |
