Post subject:  79 cr250 forks

just took my 79 cr250 forks apart for service in the manual they show 2 springs A & B mine have just one installed!! they do have air caps instead of stock fork caps is this something that is done when the air caps are installed ? also is there any where to get new bushings

air cap, bushings?
you may have a 1980 fork.

these were on the bike when I got it I assumed the air caps were aftermarket add ons.you mean the 79 forks have no bushings or guides??????

thanks you are correct I just looked at parts diagram for the "80 forks this looks like what I have 1 spring and the exact same air caps also has a washer above the oil seal I ordered new seal (dust & oil ) they seem to be the same thanks again now does any one know where to get bushing for 1980 forks :D
