Vintage Dirt Bike Q & A

What's up guy's,Getting ready to do a rebuild ( should have said that instead of resto) of my 1979 CR 250R.What I need to know does anybody know of an exact color match to the Tahitian Red that was used on these bikes?Also I have noticed that the engine usually has a bit more of an orange hue to it that does the frame.Was this a different higher heat paint or will the frame /tank paint hold up to the engine heat?Also am thinking about doing the old MOTO X FOX theme seeing how I scored a set of 1979 Fox factory shox on evil-Bay( The ones with the reservoir.My bud Thor or Thor's vintage suspensions is in the process of restoring and rebuilding them now .( Thanks Thor).Somehow I seem to remember a Orange Fox bike somewhere.I really need to find the red and black fox seat cover and some I think F.I.M. side covers also.Going with a 1983 480 front end also.BTW at 60 I am getting ready to do the A.H.R.M.A. vintage racing thing ............LOL .When I get started going back together with her I will start a thread showing the re-build.polished the exhaust and reamed out the transfers might have screwed up but am messing with the port timing also.(I do have a spare cylinder though)My pal and wrench is great with porting issues.Any pics/ info will be greatly appreciated........Thanks ,Alton
