Post subject:  Honda MR250 Restoration!!!

Hey Guys,
My brother and I are restoring two honda mr250's that we picked up earlier this year and are now waist high in a restoration. :D We are currently on a parts search now that we have gotten everything from the Honda dealer that we can, ebay is also starting to get frustrating as everything is a buy it now for an arm and a leg!!! We are looking for parts like, tube that goes from air box the carb, manifold, air filter, piston, rings....etc If you have any of these, let us know!!

As far as the restoration, we have been having a blast. The bug bit when we got two honda ct70's back in December of 2008, and did a complete restoration on them. So now we are on too something that has a little more adrenalin rush to it :D We are definitely over half way on the restoration, but speed on the project has slowed down quit a bit since school has started. We have taken gobs of pictures during the restoration though the summer. I have posted some pictures of when we first got them. I'll put some others on later.

Thanks a bunch,
Jonathan.

Welcome aboard! I'd love to see the resto pics of the MRs. DO you have any of the ct's?
I had one as a kid, my first "shift" bike.

Mr. Honda,

I am having trouble getting the pics to upload. I think they are to big of a file. :( I do have some of our Honda ct70's as well, but they won’t upload either. Not sure why the ones that I put up before worked, and now nothing will upload.

Anyway, I got a new piston for the race bike just the other day. I am also getting the head and jug cleaned up and ready to paint. Already got the main engine cases cleaned up and painted a few weeks ago. Those were a LOT of work, but worth it all, they turned our beautiful. We are almost done sandblasting, and have most everything painted and ready to put back together. Getting parts our are biggest hang up, but well get them together here.

I will look a little more in the pictures probable, and see what I can do.

Jonathan.
