I need some recommendations on what pipe works the best on the 79 CR125R. My engine is stock with the exception of a 34mm Mikuni and Boyseen reeds. What are the advantages or disadvantages with each pipe. Thanks Mike ![]() |

Mike, I've wondered about this myself. I can't find any old test of the Jemco pipes. The Jemco pipes look neat, but I think the fact that we don't see the abrupt cone shapes anymore should be a clue as to which pipe is the best. Look at all the Factory Works pipes from 1980 on and the modern DG, FMF, Pro Circuit, Bills pipes, etc... |

Hey Mike, In reference to your question, it is my personal opinion that the Pro-Form pipe is far superior to the Jemco pipe. WeÌve tested a lot here on our race bikes and the Pro-Form pulls a lot better and produceÌs more of a wider power band, so you get away from that light switch power band, that the Jemco seems to just give you more of. In fact the Pro-Form pipe is so good we even guarantee it. It is the best pipe on the market today. Good Luck, Don Brooks Vintage Elsinores http://www.elsinores.com ![]() |
