HI! I just purchased a 1975 MT-250 Elsinore and I need a tail light lens, turn signal flasher and headlight replacement bulb. Where is the best place to try and find these parts. I am new to the restoration aspect and need some starting help on this model. Thanks! |

I think the most popular place for replacement parts is eBay. Parts can take anywhere from a week to 6 months to show up forsale. I know what a lot of people are doing is changing from a 6V 30 Watt head light to a 12V 55 Watt. Easier to find and draws about the same current. For a flasher or if you want to look for 6V replacement http://www.flandersco.com/[/url] |

Make sure you run the bike with a battery or you'll burn out the flasher and most the bulbs when you rev the engine. I always get tempted to fire it up in the winter when the battery is in storage. Bought mine through the dealer. It wasn't cheap. I've never seen a new flasher come up under the header mt250 on ebay and a used one will likely be burned out. Perhaps one from another model may work? There are always a lot of aftermarket parts for the minitrails. |
