Howdy guy's,Well am just about ready to start re-assembly on the beast.( that's what I call her)One question (for now.......LOL).Cylinder has has massive port job.Was wondering what would you guy's think would be the best/hottest reed set up to use?Was thinking about the Rad Valve but don't think they make them for this engine.I know this one is going to be one more heck of a air pump. Also what about a carb spacer? yay/nay? I will be running an aftermarket pipe and silencer.I do have a couple more cylinders in case I lose my bottom end from this gutted out hunk of aluminium ![]() |

all cr250 78-01 have the same bolt pattern to screw the reedblock to the cylinder so they all fit to the 79 rocket. the orign. reedblock has 6 blades, later 4 blade blocks let a bit more air in. don´t know if you really remember it at top end, i don´t. cheapest way to improove the orign. is to put dual stage reeds on it. the radvalve will fit into your cylinder but the boot is angled by side. ![]() another intresting reedblock is the tassnari V-Force. spacers are made to get a smoother down end but loose a little bit at top end. it downs the precompression in the crankcase. |

V-Force drops right in. The spacer lengthens the effective intake tract when the reed petals close. Affects the way pressure waves on the intake side charge the cylinder and crank case. |
