Hello,

I have a 1975mt250. I have read way back in this forum that you cannot rebuild theses shocks.(I don't know 100% if thats true, I have never done the research.)

My bike had 3400 miles on it, but it sat since the late 70's. The shocks didn’t leak but they soon did after riding it.

I can find new aftermarket progressive shocks on eBay often. I have rarely seen stock shocks that aren’t blown or so old that they will go once you ride on them. I have never bought any shocks... I have just been shopping daily for the last 3 years for random parts.

Good luck.
Matt

There is a guy in San Diego who rebuilds stock Showa units that were standard on vintage CR's. He's rebuilt some CR shocks and and a pair of FOX steel bodies for me. Does great work and stands behind it. His name is Brian Pusey and his email is: fivetenchamp@hotmail.com

Thanks for the info. I found a person in NJ who says he can rebuild them. If he doesn't work out, I'll try this man. I'll keep everyone posted on how this works out. Mark

The mans name is Brian. He rebuilt my shocks on my 78 CR125, and did a fantastic job. Quick turnaround, and easy to work with. Mark
