The oil pump on my 74 MT250 seems to be leaking from inside the pump out of the connecting pipe where the oil line feeds into it. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

Check the two 'banjo' fittings and plastic oil tubes near the top left of the pump. My friend's input (top) tube was cracked just to the left of the fitting. We repaired it with JB Weld, I think it will hold up OK. If that's not it, there may be a problem inside the pump. Ray |

Fixed the oil leak, what I thought was oil coming out of the pump was actually leaking from the the feed hose from the oil tank. Pulled the hose up to the knurls and expected to see oil come out from the intake pipe of the pump, but after watching for what seemed like an eternity, saw that it was actually leaking from the hose. Found one small scratch on the inside of the tubing causing the leak. Replaced the tubing, all is good. |
