OK, I need some advise. I have traced the running problem I have with my 1980 CR250 and have determined that the ignition is at fault. So, I'm going to ditch the 1980 ignition and install an earlier unit. What I need to know is if I will need a letter coded flywheel to match the "A" code stator. Will the 1980 flywheel run this ignition? Working on finding a good "A" code CDI box as well. Also, is there anyone that "rebuilds" CDI's or stator coils? I know it's a long shot, but I had to ask.
