I just bought a 1976 MT125
. It has some wiring issues 
. First off, the previous owner unplugged pretty much everything, except what it needs to run. Second, it seems to me, as a total noob, that there is some wiring missing. I don't have a manual, and I can't find a '76 wiring diagram, but a '73 an '74 wiring diagram shows a black and I believe brown wire coming from each of the front turn signals, but I only have a black wire. And it seems like there are a lot of male ends, not so many female ends. Also, he said the coil was bad, because it doesn't have spark, so I disconnected the coil from the spark plug cap, and the rubber around the actual metal of the cable was all torn up. I tried taping the wire from the coil directly to the spark plug, without the cap, but it still wouldn't start. This made me a little suspicious. It hasn't run for a while, so I chalked it up to that. But theoretically, couldn't that work? Next question, the coil is connected to the battery, and wired up as far as I can tell, but is there something else that might be unplugged that might affect the coil? And last, how should the coil connect to the spark cap? I saw the screw inside the cap, so does that go into the rubber on the end of the coil? Wait, one more thing, How do I test to see if the coil is bad, or if it is the condenser? I know, all noob questions, but I've never even owned a motorcycle before.
