Should have a battery for lights (required in many states even though lights would not necessarily require a battery while engine is running). Should also have a key to turn on ignition. But shouldn't have a starter. Do you have a kickstart on the right side of the engine?? |

for sure someone installed other handleswitches and there´s a start button, but no starter at the engine.
