Howdy! My MR250 rear wheel has had a tough life. It's been thrashed to hell. There's a weld going across 70% of the width at one spot and 4 major flat spots. It really is something to behold. Now, I have an xr did rim of the same size and hole count and im inclined to lace it up, but Im not sure if I need to redrill the rim? Anybody know how much wiggle room there is when it comes to spoke angle? Thanks in advance! Cameron. |

I have done this but not on a Honda. I laced an aluminum rim from a bike with disk brake onto a hub of a bike with a drum brake. The spoke angle on the rim was wrong so I re-drilled the rim holes at a different angle by eyeball with my hand drill. If you don't get the angle right, the spokes will bend at the nipples when you tighten them which is not good. |

Thanks for your reply! I suppose you used a stepping drill bit? |
