I just called Sudco and found out that many parts of the 36mm Keihin carb are no longer available. It just might be time to try and get a Mikuni for the bike.

Seems like I saw a mikuni I think on DC plastics for a 79 cr, dont hold me to it. There's a guy on ebay selling china made carbs cheap, dont know if there any good or not but they are new.

Thanks for the response on the fork seals but the replacement seals I bought were just one seal with no room for another seal, maybe the model I have only has one seal, idk!

Don't see much on DC, but I am talking with Sudco, they will sell you a pre-jetted VM36, now the 64 dollar question is will it bolt right in?

Sudco never answered me if it was a bolt on solution. I sent an email to Rick over at Vintage Iron and he says it is a bolt on and they will get the Mikuni for me. Sounds like a good deal and will get me into a carb you can actually get parts for!

Covered in another post, but it is a tight fit as a bolt on. Do not buy anything other than genuine Mikuni (or Keihin) parts, you'll be chasing your tail jetting-wise.
