hi. joined this site with hopes I will be able to use it as a great source of info, to help me restore my newly acquired 1973 Cr250. Its pretty rough and missing a few items, but its early enough that it should have a billet crank. I bought it from the original owners son. way back when, I had a 1976 MT 125 brand new. cant wait to ride an elsinore again!

What a great bike to restore! I have one and love it. I ended up buying three or four of them to use as parts bikes, so I still have some stuff left over. Lot's of lessons learned in restoring it too, so I look forward to seeing what issues you run into too.
Try vintagemx.us too. There are plenty of friendly and helpful enthusiasts dropping by both sites from time to time. Only when a guy is actively restoring and hunting for parts is he apt to be checking in all the time....

Enjoy!!

I did one of those a while back, mine had the billet crank as well.
The '73 was a tough resto because I started with a real beater.
Parts are getting harder to find, but if your resourceful, should be
a fun project.

I'm not a regular on here, but I do check in when I think about it. I'll be
more than happy to help. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions.
