I know the answer to my question will be easy to you seasoned Elsinore guys, but can someone tell me what material the side covers (left and right) on a 73-74 CR250M engine were made of? Were they both made out of aluminum? Thanks! |

I assumed they are magnesium like on my MT. |

The chain side cover is magnesium. Says so right on the casting and it gave my welder guy fits that he told me all about. I had the same fellow weld the clutch side cover too, and don't recall him complaining at all. Not sure on that side though. |
