Hello group...I've read most of the posts with regards to paint color variations for the red Honda's. Most of the comments seemed to be directed towards earlier models that were of the Tahitian Red variation but it appears that the latter years like mine (1984 CR80) were of a different color, more like an orange/red (Flash Orange or Flash Red?). I tried a Chrysler red and its too far toward the red spectrum too match the plastics. What about primers? Any preference or suggestions? Thanks. |

Hey Cubman, just do like I'm doing, I started painting parts from a rattle can and it's "Chevrolet Engine Orange". I've always loved the way it would look on a 1976 CR125 Elsinore, I am currently restoring, and I'm old too, back when the '76 came out it looked orange to me anyway and I've always envisioned it to be orange. So now it's going to be orange and I hope nobody minds me doing it. LOL |
