Hi. I need new friction plates and springs for my clutch. Can I use these parts from an -83 cr250? Regards Mikael |

Ok, thanks redrocket. Got another question, the big sprocket that is riveted on the clutch basket is a little loose. Should it be that way? /Mikael |

MikaelH wrote: the big sprocket that is riveted on the clutch basket is a little loose. is it loose to the basket or basket and sprocket to the shaft? clutch springs don´t kow the barnett springs but often aftermarket springs are stiffer than the originals and this is not necessary for the CR. stiffer springs cause a harder pull at the lever. try first the original springs and fill in an oil that is made for motorcycles with wet clutches. there has to be JASO MA printed on the oilcan. |

Hi. It is little loose to the basket, I guess the rivets has come loose after all use. Dont think it should be that way. Yea I had a feeling that aftermarket springs could be harder. I would use the original, but one is missing. I will see what I can come up with. Here is a pic of the rocket taking shape
