Hi. Got my cr250 fired up today, and did a short testdrive. There is a neutral between 2nd and 3rd gear. Had the same problem before I tore it apart. There was one of the shift forks that were a little bent and worn. I did weld on material and grinded it to specs, and straihgten it. Did not seem to help, all gears and axles looked nice, and all of the bearings are new. Could it be something else, or is it jst to look for another set of shift forks? /Mikael |

Howdy, Before you split your cases again, take a look under your clutch cover. Make sure nothing's binding in the shift mechanism. I've had this trouble with other bikes and found a bad outer shift drum and spindle. Hope this helps! |

Hi. Thanks. Will take the clutch cover off and take a look. When the bike is on the stand and not running, all gears works fine, and the neutral is where its supposed to be. But as soon as I ride, it hits neutral between 2nd and third gear. So have to shift twice there. /Mikael |
