1986 honda cr 250r question |
i bought a 89 cylinder for my 86 bottom end..i was told by the ebay seller that it would work..i bought a 88 crank case cover and a also got a 89 spindle cam..i swapped out the spindle cam and bushing and everything matched up fine..i ran into a problem with my stud bolts..the 2 where the reed valves were was shorter..so i ordered the 89 studs that are a little longer to make the cylinder fit..i knew i would have to motify it a little but everything is looking like its going to work..have u ever tried to put a 89 or 88 cyl on a 86 or 87 bottom end and will it work ? i payed 250 for the cyl and 150 for the case..i am hoping to hear the answer yes it will work now the 86~89 top end gaskets and shamatics are the same..let me know what u think please and thank you..heres the pic with the 89 cyl on the 86 bottom end ty Rob*
