I just purchased a kill switch from Re-MX for my 76 cr250m,

Push Button Kill Switch
Item# K-0616

Not sure how to connect this. Currently I only have one wire going from the points to the ignition coil. I was expecting this switch to just go between the two. One of the wires on the switch is connected to the handlebar mount like a ground, will this work for me?

Thanks.

The kill switches I've seen have one side of the switch grounded, and the other side connected to the coil input wire from the ignition stator. Unless you're using an aftermarket coil there should be another connector at the coil input for the kill switch wire, as all my Hondas have them.

Grounding the kill switch to non-rubber-mounted bars will probably work fine, but I'd prefer running a separate wire to the coil ground.
