Vintage Dirt Bike Q & A

I need a chain guide for my 74 cr250 to finish project, i have found a nos guide but it is for a cr125, my question is will the 125 guide fit my 250 swingarm? Not sure, want to know before i put down big bucks!! Thanks for all the help!!

I don't think it will, at least not like the 250 one would. I believe the 125 guide has the inner arm angled forward and the outer arm angled back, while the 250 guide has the outer arm pretty much vertical, with a shorter bolt spread.

I had the reverse situation - I saw a 250 one about a year ago and wondered if it fit my 125. The roller and collar are interchangeable, but not the guide frame, I think.

Maybe the eBay guy could take some measurements for you - I've had pretty good luck with that.
