I am building a trail bike out of left over BSA Victor parts. I want to use the front end off a CR250 as I am missing the front end and was told by a fellow Victor owner that he had done so with no major problems. I want to retain a drum brake. The question is what years should I be looking for and are there any I should avoid. Any and all advice is welcome.

My advice would be to use whatever year has the largest diameter fork tubes...probably the latter years as long as the fork clamps will adapt to the Victor frame. Theres a guy on the Elsinore swap site that sells a lot of parts from various years at very reasonable prices. I have a phone number if you need it.
