I have a question about California's Green Stickers for off-road use. One of my bikes (88 CR250) has a green sticker on the fork tube that expired in 2002. I have not transferred/registered the bike yet.

Will I be able to get a new green sticker or will they only give me a red sticker since it had expired? Thanks for any help!

I don't have a definitive answer but when I reregistered my bike in 2000 they gave me a green sticker. Bear in mind this scoot had been in mothballs since about 1976. DMV didn't have any record of it at all.

Thanks Loren,

I'll go down to DMV and give it a shot. I just didn't want to stand in that damn line if I didn't have a chance.

Were you at Madera? I didn't stay for Sunday, but maybe I'll get a chance to meet you at one of the CA nationals next year.

Didn't make Madera. A friend and fellow firefighter got married the night before so I didn't even bother to pre-enter. Didn't even consider driving down in the morning as I knew I would be in nooooo condition to attempt it. Thank goodness I have a girlfriend that doesn't mind being the DD at these types of events. It got pretty wild.

Maybe next year my friend. :D
