Anyone have a method for drilling mounting holes in new fenders so they are as straight as stock? Thanks! J |

J: My advice measure scribe and drill on a bench press with a wood bit. You can use the wood pit as a pilot hole. I think the size is either a 7/8 or 1" bit. I have done quite a few sets this way. |

Another way to go is this. Take the new and old fender and mirror them at the flat mounting surface. Then take two pieces of plywood and sandwich the two fenders between them. Then take a scribe and go around the old mounting holes, scribing the new fender. Then just find the center of the scribed outlines and drill them out. |

Nathan has a good idea, but I'd use a transfer punch instead of a scribe. The transfer punch gives you the center of the hole only. |
