Apologize for a REALLY stupid question, but, here goes. Purchased a set of rear blinker stems from a E-bay member and I cannot figure out how they attach! The blinker stems came with a 6mm screw that protrudes on one side of an oval shaped chrome base and then there is the hollow tube with knurling to attach the body of the blinker housing to. No threads on the hollow tubing that the wires pass thru. How in the world does this attach given there are no threads of sorts attached to the frame? There are no recesses on the oval shaped mount to slip Inside a oval shaped hole on the bike frame. I would be more than happy to supply a picture tomorrow morning of the posts and frame portion of the mount if you think that would help. Take a peak at your's to see what you might find if you'd be so kind. I would GREATLY appreciate it. UPDATE: It looks like I would need both a #10 and a #12 in the following schematic. A couple #11's would be nice too: http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/H ... parts.html Any out there to purchase? Thanks! |

I must have gotton extremely lucky. I found a pair of brackets with the rubber inserts on fleabay. If the light enclosures, which would be all four, front and rear, arrive thiis week, I should have blinkers installed this weekend if all goes well. It's coming around rather well for a 38 year old bike! |
