Post subject:  Gas leaking from Clutch Cover gasket

I have a 1979 CR125 and now have gas leaking from my clutch cover. Other than needing to replace the clutch cover, I didn't realize that fuel made its way down into that part of the engine. Could this be a symptom of something else? Just wondering. Any advice would be greatly welcomed!!

this is not the clutch cover, behind this cover is the ignition. it has to be dry behind this cover.

I just realized that it's not the clutch cover. Not sure what the right side cover is called but it's weird the bike seems to run fine. Anyway, thanks for the info.

youve blown a crank seal probably. this side seal runs "dry", so can fail more often than the clutch side, which is in an oil bath, which keeps the seal supple. its not a hard fix.
cheers.
