Alright- next stop shift fork town. Racing I am finding a lot of false neutrals, im had the transmission apart a few years back when i put the MT 5th gear in and I know these gears are soft so.. here is my question. Before i tear this thing down, does anybody have in their possesion some good transmission parts? I dont need main or secondary shaft, but decent gears. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Also shift forks- I am not looking to get them off ebay, someone that knows the difference between worn dogs and teeth and good gears. Shoot me some numbers! Ill call!

Hate to tear it down then start looking for parts- its race season!

Thanks,
-Matt

You have no other choice than to tear it down. The problem will only get worse. Racing this tranny with it banging out of gear is only gonna hurt you or the bike or worse both. Be patient and do it right. There are machinist out there that can under cut the gears. Make sure you look at the shift drum as well. Excessive play will cause issues as well. Good luck

Yeah, I wont be racing until it is replaced- and i will undercut the gears that i currently have depending on the condition.. But I would really start to stock piling some gears- perhaps undercutting them depending on the condition before I split the cases. Let me know if you have any parts- thanks!

Thanks for everybody helping me track down parts. Received a couple comple transmissions and a complete bottom end. I will start a new thread showing teardown and rebuild- and problems I run into. I know I like seeing other people's issues and solutions so seems like the right thing to do.
