I warned you guys that the questions would start coming. I have two questions this time.

First, about the world's heaviest and ugliest muffler...what are my options? I have looked around at several "universal" 2 stroke mufflers and they all look good. My problem is that the end of the stock expansion chamber is very large in diameter and kicks up at a funny angle. What have the rest of you guys done?? I can't believe anyone would have left the stock piece in place.

Secondly, what is the best source for a rear sprocket? My first attempt on eBay netted me the wrong sprocket...it had no dish. Any known suppliers that you can tell me about?? BTW, if anyone knows the correct (OEM) final gearing I would appreciate that information (front sprocket and rear sprocket). My bike came with an aftermarket sprocket and I can not find a reference to the OEM gearing in my Haynes Manual

Thanks in advance...and if you want to follow the progress of this build and my other old bike..please check out: http://meditarivemachinery.blogspot.com/

HQ pictures...and some notes..

Mike

Might have to look into someone making a custom pipe as the shape determines powerband.

I don't know what the stock gearing is but they made several different gear options. Rear 47 Tooth, 49T and 51T...Front gear 13T,14T,15T.

Try here http://sunstar-mc.com/ might have to call and see if they have a reference.
