All winker lights illuminating but no "wink". Where is the relay located and what should I purchase? There's a zillion of them on Ebay, but which one? Is there a way to test so I'm not throwing around money when not needed? My battery IS somewhat questionable, but with bike running, it appears as though charging system/battery is working properly. All lights barely, if any, increase in intensity as RPM's increase. Multitester indicates 7+ volts when engine is running as well.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

This one I have an answer for...i had same issue...as much as I like keeping things to OEM new circuit board technology makes them work like they should- they only thing missing is the cute clicking- it's oddly silent- but I guess only to our generation.

I've got 2 from these guys, works on the CB125 too

If the link doesn't work just search for it on Ebay.

and the relay is under the right front of the tank hanging in it's rubber mount. on the '75 for some reason there are three wires, the green one is not used you just hook up the black and grey. The new EMGO unit has a B next to the tab you stick the black one on.

I wish they made the cute clicking a little louder. Funny how these blinkers cute clicks get less and less as we get older and older!!

Does the round Emgo winker mount good and solid in the OEM's place?

Also...I might be mistaken, but, does the extra wire perhaps hook to an indicator lamp on a gauge in certain applications?

One other thing....How many watts do the turn signals draw on each side when flashing? I believe I answered my own question. The correct bulbs should be GE 1129's. They are 6V, 17W, single pole units. However, if you have running lights on the front in addition to the winkers, that is a whole different animal. They are dual pole bulbs! Not sure of the bulb model number here.

hud,

Looks really good!
Two more questions....
1.) Do you have running lights up front?
2.) What model numbers are your bulbs front and rear?

Sure appreciate the assistance. I'll get mine working yet!

Doug,

my MT doesn't have running lights. my system can barely run the headlight even with a new (and Battery Tender'd) battery.

The bulbs are single pole Stanley 1129's 6v 17w.

here's vid of them operating. https://youtu.be/drVxRxQrqzo

The flasher unit has been my only real success- just finding out how tough throttle cables are to find. Put it this way if you can't find something on the internet with 5mins- it's just not there. Well there is one....in Australia for $116.

Good luck with your MT!

Hud
