On my 1974 CR250M I am running standard 14 teeth engine sprocket and 49 driven sprocket, and was wandering if anybody could give me some advice on the best chain length. I suppose it would be 108 or 110 links. Thanks in advance. Brgds Rolf |

The Manual on page 48: " Drive Sprocket - Number of teeth 13 (standard 14) Driven Sprocket - Number of teeth 45, 49 (standard 47) Drive Chain 110 link - 110 link is supplied for use with optional sprocket combinations requiring greater chain length. " I think that's you. ![]() My completely stock bike had a 106 link. (14/47) Let us know what brand you buy too. I'm in the market for a chain myself. |

I know, but there is no way a 110 link chain will fit. I believe Honda counted on the customer cutting that chain to the appropriate length. I have a 14/49 sprocket set up and ended up with 108 link chain. It nearly bottoms out the chain tensioner even leaving a full slack. I think I should cut it to 107. 105 or 106 will also do fine if you want shorter wheelbase, I belive 104 will be too short. I bought a D.I.D chain. /r |
