Hey I have a 72 Mt 250 Elsinore ...it is missing a cdi and key ignition... I see 4 wires close to gas tank Red ..black..black white...green.. .... and the other wires are plugged in the front handbars ...I'm not seeing any other loose wires..but I do see where a cdi rubber is ripped where cdi would be....so I thought it maybe has points but I took off cover and there is a flywheel...I'm new to this but have love for this bike and need her bring her back any help would help thanks cheers

1974 was the first year of this model.
It has or had points. Simple wiring. Points, condenser and coil are wired to what I think is a black wire with a white stripe.
That wire will also go to the ignition switch and kill switch that is not necessary to make it run, only to shut it down.

You can get an online copy of that manual from this website but the wiring is hard to make out. As a result I bought an aftermarket Clymer manual to get a better view the electrical. It was worth it.
