Vintage Dirt Bike Q & A

I was planning to race my recently acquired 1974 CR125M at the upcoming Unadilla Vintage Rewind festival at the end of next week. Last week the bike ran well, started on a half a kick and the plan was to do some fine tuning by way of main jet changes with spark plug inspections.

Today, the bike would not start, the pipe was full of pre mix, the bore was found to be scored and the piston and rings need to be replaced. Compression was less than 105 psi.

If anyone knows where I can get a replacement cylinder, piston and rings by Wednesday, June 8th, please reply.
