I recently did a top end re build on my cr and everything went great, after re assembly put some fresh gas in it and it fired right up after the 3rd kick, I let it idle for about 15 minutes shut it off, let it cool, fired it back up, and did this 3 more times. Everything seemed to be working quite well and I was very pleased with myself for a job well done.
The next day I took the bikle for a short ride down the street not revving real high or anything like that just a casual cruise down the street. On my return trip, the bike hit the power band a couple times and I noticed it breaking up at higher rpm's. I brought the bike into the drivway, let it idle, even rapped on the throttle a couple times and all seemed well, shut it down and put it to bed for the day.
OK now to the real problem at hand. I go out the next day to load the bike up and go ride, but I try to start it first, bike fired right up but when I pumped the throttle a couple times the bike bogged somehting terrible and then died. For 2 days I try to start the bike checking all the normal stuff and all seems fine, so this morning I pull the reeds out and they are soaked in fuel to the point that I think they were sticking shut, I had this problem once before the rebuild, but not nearly this bad. Is this a jetting problem in the carb or is there some other problem that I am not seeing, and if so, can someone please help me figure out how many turns in and or out the main jet should be?

Thanks ahead of time,

Chilli

Sounds like your floats may be sticking open. The over flow tube should be taking care of it if that is the case so a bit of a puzzler.

Could be a bit of water in the gas too. Sometimes a drop of water will get stuck in one of the jets and shut it down. If the water works its way to the plug it puts you out of business.

That would be my first things to look at anyway. Pull the plug and see what condition it is in and if you get a spark. Pull the carb and make sure the floats are operating properly and no water in the gas.
