I'd like to know how much a restored 1978 cr250r in good shape would go for?

This may be the most asked question here.

It kinda depends on the "condition" and how much people in your area are willing to pay. If you are able to put it on eBay and are willing to ship it anywhere, then your pool of potential buyer will be larger and it may bring more. Trick aftermarket parts can add value also.

Now if you are anywhere near me I would say not very much, but give me your phone number.

Tom,

If by restored you mean frame cleaned and painted, all bearings replaced, controls in good working order with new cables, new or rebuilt carb, new airfilter, New top end and at least seals replaced on the lower end, pipe in great shape, new chain and sprockets, new tires and tubes, aftermarket shocks, new seals and springs in the forks and assuming the plastics and seat cover are great shape or have been replaced I would say around $2K, but could go higher. One similar to this, in my area, was on eBay and the bidding only went to $1,700. There is one on eBay right now with an aluminum swingarm, aftermarket pipe and '83 forks that is heading towards $2,500. It's hard to pin these things down. Are you buying or selling?

You said "restored" and "in good shape", so I'm assuming it has been run some after the resto?
