Hoping to find out if someone knows whether MR250 trany gears can be used in a 73 CR250? either some or all of them. thnx for any help. |

If I'm not mistaken, those who raced a CR in the dessert, would change to the MR gear box. It would give them a greater range of gears, than the standard CR gear box. As to what years would work in your 73 CR 250M, I'll defer to those who are more knowledgeable than me... |

The third gear from an MR250 will fit in a CR250 tranny only. And only the female dawg third will work all others will not mesh. The second gear from an MT250 will fit the CR250 again only the female dawg second gear. |
