Post subject:  Tire recommendations for a 74 CR250M

I need to replace the tires on my 74 CR250M, as it still has the original (Bridgestone) front tire. I mostly trail ride and would like to try to ride a vintage race or two, (just for old times sake.) What would this forum recommend as a good set of replacements. What size are most running, any using and oversized tire?

thanks

IMO, for performance choose Dunlop, for longevity choose Maxxis. I have a newer bike but think you run the same sizes; 80/100 x 21" on the front (1.6" rim)and 110/100 x 18" on the rear (2.15" rim).

I've been really happy running Bridgestones same size tires as Mike mentions above. I run the Intermediate/hard terrain tires. The front tire has a wider more agressive tread pattern to it & it bites well in corners. Also wears out quicker.
