 Post subject: mt 250 did my clutch go?

ok i was riding and suddenly my clutch gave away the lever on the motor now dosnt have any force to it could have somthing fallen off inside there or did my clutch fry?

They have a screw/locknut mounted on the clutch to adjust them. If the locknut came loose the screw could have backed out.

I've had two Kawasaki, two Suzuki, and one Yamaha clutch go out. In the Kawasaki and Yamaha the clutch plates had disintegrated with age/moisture. Both Suzuki had the clutch actuator rod bend.

I've not had a problem with Honda clutches doing anything but wearing out. They must of used a different friction material then the other manufacturers that ages well. The MT has a robust clutch so my first guess would be nothing broke. If the previous owner had put in an after market clutch it would be a suspect.

Time to pull out the impact driver and have a looksee.
