Hi folks, I first want to thank everyone in advance...I appriciate the help. I am not sure why I am not getting gas to the engine. I know that I have gas in the carb float bowl...maybe that is the problem? Anyway I am not getting any gas to my spark plug. As I have stated before if I remove the plug...drip in a little gas ...she fires right up....maybe I need a new carb... I just don't know....this thing has been sitting for years....Any thoughts?? Again thanks Steve |

I assume what you are saying is that the bike runs until the gas you squirted in is depleted and then it dies... 1. Check that fuel is getting out of the tap. 2. Check that any fuel filters aren't blocked. 3. With the float bowl off tickle the float valve and check that fuel comes out. 4. Blow out all the pilot jet and main jet passages. 5. Check the float height is 19mm and that the floats are not full of fuel. 6. Use the choke to get extra fuel in while idling. 7. Check the plug is dry when it dies and not wet because it got loaded up... |
