Guys

Is there a process for refurbishing wheel spokes? I am going to powdercoat the rims but the spokes are tarnished and have rusty spots on them.

What do you say?

Also, has anyone produced a book for motorcycle restoration that deals with powdercoating / enamelling / vaour / plating etc etc that you would recommend?

I appreciate the help you fellows have given me already. First time restoration for me.

If you are doing a true restoration try and get a NOS set from either http://www.cmsnl.com or http://www.westernhillshonda.com. Otherwise get a new set from a wheelbuilder. I had a new Excel rim put on the front of my 1979 CR250R complete with stronger stainless steels spokes.
