I posted a pic of a fender I picked up recently on the swap page. It was sold to me as a NOS OEM rear fender for a 1980 CR125. The fender was in a Honda parts bag and the part number on the bag indicated that it was the correct fender for the bike. It's not made of the same plastic as a stocker, and it's not fiberglass. It's about 1/2 the weight of a stocker, and is about half as thick as a stocker. Looks to me to be painted ABS. Visually it looks just like a stocker, and even has the mud tab rivoted on. I am not aware of any repro like this. Has anyone out there ever run across one like it? I bought this recently from Robert Stimax who passed away since then. He loved old bikes and collected many cool things over the years. I wish I could ask him. I didn't know he had cancer. We were lucky to have him in the hobby. Thanks for the fender Bob. |
