There's an ad for crank rebuild kits on the AHRMA Web Mart site. I don't know anything as to quality one way or the other. http://www.ahrma.org/mart/webmart.htm? |

One of my son's used to work at Crank Works in AZ. He modified the crank (I think he had to drill out the hole for the larger pin, put the new CR rod kit on and balanced it (needs complete piston, rings, bearing, pin and circlips to balance it). I got a spacer from the www but it is made by Comic (sp?) and was plug and play. The new CR rod kit is stronger than the stocker. After this, a crank re-build is easy as parts are everywhere for newer CR's. My bike is far from stock and I ride it very hard in the expert class. 9k + RPM's (guessing), no vibrations and no problems at all. Rick |
