Hey guys----Need some advice on my 73 cr250m. Seems the kick start gear is really starting to slip. Is there a resource to purchase the gear or can I repair mine. Any help or advice sure appreciated- Thanks, Jon

Hi Jon. Sounds like the little spring loaded tab that locks the kick gears together is gettting worn out. Last I checked.......which was several years ago, you could still get one from Honda. If the pocket that the tab locks into is worn, it will still slip even with a new tab, but quite often you can just replace this tab. The inner and outer parts of the kick assembly have been unavailable for some time now, so if they are worn you will have to find a good used set. Seems like the MT250 used the same setup.....but the old memory is not the best...stupid brain...
