Those auto oilers are the scurge of the planet and they are worthless. I know, remove the bottle, remove the pump and make a blockoff plate im guessing. Does anyone know if i can use a 73/74 CR carburator and loose all the mt auto oiler stuff? I wonder is an older throttle cable would complete the job. Erik |

Different intake manifold/mounting. What people try to do is replace the cylinder/intake/carb on an MT one from a 73-74CR. You would be real lucky to find the bits. You can get rid of the MT autolube stuff. Most people just pull the oil tank and let the lines run dry so they don't have to make a plate. There is the banjo fitting on the carb where the oil feeds. I think that just takes a 5mm bolt and washer to plug. Save the old parts if you do pull them, you may have a market. I just got a MT running last summer that has an failed oil system on it and I would eventually like to get it registered/on the street and would rather have an oil injection system on it. |
