Will this work and will it fit? Trying to get rid of the whole bad oil injection system and this seems like the best bet. Any ideas? thanks erik |

The carb doesn't matter for the oil injection system. The oil is injected after the carb directly into the intake manifold. The MT250 has a 28mm keihin which works OKay. The CR250 uses a 34mm Keihin which will not fit in the MT intake opening. The MT250 has a two bolt mounted intake the CR250 has four. I have an MT250 I just plugged the hole where the oil used to be injected into the manifold with a short bolt and run premix in the gas. The 28mm carb works pretty good for that motor when jetted right any bigger will not help since the intake opening is smaller anyway. Also leave the oil pump in place or you will have a nasty oil leak. |
